THE TRANSLATION SEEMS TO RENDER
गतयस्तत्समानतः AS ‘From this arise their repulsiveness and attractiveness’
BUT I THINK THE SENSE HERE IS RATHER THIS:
गति f. the course of the soul through numerous forms of life, metempsychosis, condition of a person
undergoing this migration etc.

THE SYNTAX SEEMS TO BE THIS:
‘In the beginning, having created the qualities of mind (ACC) [आदौ मनोगुणान् सृष्ट्वा]. From there arise (NOM) various deeds/actions/karmas - pure, mixed, and impure, (also) rebirths from the similarity that it (the Jiva) has (assumed) to it (the mind)’ [ततः कर्माण्यनेकधा ॥ २४॥ शुक्ललोहितकृष्णानि गतयस्तत्समानतः ।].’
