पादयुग (?)
पादयुग (?) [ND] NO IDEA ???? I CANNOT SEE WHERE/HOW THE (transl.) RENDERS THIS WORD
\
RAMA IS TELLING PARASHURAMA TO NAME A TARGET FOR HIS ARROW AND HE SAYS:
लोकान्पादयुगं वापि वद (?) ‘Name people (for me to shoot at) or anything endowed with feet (i.e. some animal or other being)’ (?)
SO MAYBE THIS IS पादयुज् adj. ‘anything endowed with feet’ FROM पाद + युज् mfn. furnished or provided or filled with, affected by, possessed of (instrumental case, mostly compound)
OR MAYBE IT JUST MEANS ‘a pair of feet’ - MEANING THAT THE TARGET WILL BE TO SHOOT BETWEEN A PERSON’S LEGS WITHOUT HITTING HIM?

In the Mahabharata epic, the Heheya Kingdom (also known as Haihaya, Haiheya, Heiheya, etc.) is one of the kingdoms ruled by Yaduvanshi (Chandravansh) kings in the central and western India. It was ruled by the powerful Kartavirya Arjuna( great grandson of Yadu), who even defeated Ravana. Its capital was Mahishmati on the banks of river Narmada in present-day Madhya Pradesh. They conquered many other kingdoms of India. However, the enmity with the warrior-type Bhargavas resulted in their demise. Parasurama was the Bhargava leader under whom they were exterminated. Talajangha was an allied kingdom of Heheya, probably to the east of it.
