अच्युत adj. acyuta अच्युत a. [न. त. स्वरूपसामर्थ्यात् न च्युतः च्यवते वा-काल- सामान्ये कर्तरि क्त] 1 Not fallen, firm, fixed; not giving way, solid; गरुडमूर्तिरिव अच्युतस्थितिरमणीया K.52 (अच्युत meaning ‘Viṣṇu’ and ‘firm’, ‘fixed’); ˚क्षित् having solid ground. -2 Imperishable, permanent; ˚रुष् inveterate enmity. -3 [न च्योतति क्षरति; च्युत्-क. न. त.] Not melting away or perishing, not leaking or dripping. -तः 1 N. of Viṣṇu; of the Almighty Being; यस्मान्न च्युतपूर्वो$हमच्युत- स्तेन कर्मणा Bhāg. -2 गच्छाम्यच्युतदर्शनेन K.P.5. (where अ˚ also means ‘one who is firm, does not yield to passions’) -3 N. of a plant, Morinda Tinetoria. मेध्य adj. medhya मेध्य a. [मेध्-ण्यत्, मेधाय हितं यत् वा] 1 Fit for a sacrifice; अजाश्वयोर्मुखं मेध्यम् Y.1.194; Ms.5.54. -2 Relating to a sacrifice, sacrificial; मेध्येनाश्वेनेजे; R.13. 3; उषा वा अश्वस्य मेध्यस्य शिरः Bṛi. बहिर्वनस्येति == ‘he (== Rama == I) is sitting outside of the forest’ WHICH IS VERY ODD SINCE बहिस् SHOULD TAKE ABL. AND NOT GEN. The transl. here takes बहिस् as a kind of internal ACC (i.e. a substantive meaning ‘the outskirts’), thus: ‘he besits the outside of the forest’ WHICH MAY WELL BE RIGHT

NOTE IN THE VERY NEXT VERSE WE HAVE THE NORMAL AND EXPECTED CONSTRUCTION WITH THE ABL. WHEN THE BOY REPEATS THESE VERY WORDS OF RAMA TO HIS ABBOT: वनाद् बहिर्
