AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT THE “VERB” HERE WOULD MEAN. THE LONG -A- IN -SAT- IS WEIRD.

MAYBE IGNORE THE PART BELOW. THIS MAKES SENSE IF YOU TAKE पुनरावृत्ति TO MEAN *NOT ‘rebirth’ PER SE BUT RATHER ‘rebirth as a Brahman in India, etc.’ - ALL OF THE KARMIC ADVANTAGES THAT RAVANA HAS AND THAT WERE JUST LISTED ABOVE. I THINK THAT FIXES THE PROBLEM.
MAYBE IGNORE THIS. SEE ABOVE.

THIS MAKES NO SENSE. LITERALLY IT SAYS,
“If not, you will go down and down DEPRIVED OF re-birth” - WHICH IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT IT SHOULD BE SAYING HERE.
THE (transl.) KNOWS IT MAKES NO SENSE, SO THEY FUDGE:
“If you do not do this, you will degenerate into lower and lower embodiments and be caught in the cycle of repeated births and deaths {THIS IS THE MEANING REQUIRED HERE ALTHOUGH IT IS NOWEHRE IN THE TEXT] and will be devoid of any scope for regeneration [THIS IS A PATHETIC ATTEMPT TO REHABILITATE पुनरावृत्तिवर्जितः ]’
