A man walked into an alley.
Era de noche.
It was nighttime.
Se acercó (andando) a tres hombres.
He walked up to three men.
Les enseñó algo que llevaba en una caja.
He showed them something he was carrying in a box.
Los tres miraron en la caja.
The three looked into the box.
¿Qué es lo que buscaban?
What were they looking for?
Buscaban un brazo.
They were looking for an arm.
¿Por qué me cuentas historias como esa?
Why do you tell me stories like that?
Creía que te gustaban.
I thought you liked them.

They make my hair stand on end.
