A

I CANNOT MAKE THIS OUT, ESPECIALLY THE SECOND PADA
(?) ‘Protect the race of ancient (चिरागतं) Demons. In the mere mention/thought/memory of Him (Rama) the entire (race of Demons) perishes.’ (?)
YES. UPON CONSIDERATION I THINK THAT’S LIKELY TO BE RIGHT.
\
OR (transl.):
‘Do not be the cause of the destruction of the tribe of Rakshasas, whom you have raised to a state of great prosperity for a very long period.’ (transl.)

A

In addition to being a verse of mixed meter, the text of this verse is a bit strained. I think it goes like this:
\
(This was the) statement/reply of Brahma’
\
== ‘O lotus-eyed-one! Go thou forth upon the earth AS a human body born of Dasaratha’
\
== ‘Easily kill the 10-necked enemy, O Hari!’
