A

The sons of Adam and Eve - Cain, a farmer, and Abel, a herder, both brought offerings to God from their labored. God accepted Abel’s but not Cain’s. Rather than asking why, Cain turned on his brother Abel killing him. God punished Cain by sending him away to wander the world as an outcast. But God still showed mercy, protecting Cain in a special way.

Briefly describe the The Flood Story.

A

God told Noah, who had remained faithful to him, to build a special boat, an ark. He was to take his family and one pair of every kind of animal. When he was done, the rain began and soon the whole earth was covered in water. Everything but what was on the ark was destroyed. When it stopped and dry land appeared, Noah offered sacrifices to God. Then God made a covenant with Noah.
