The forced journey of the Cherokees to land set aside for them by the United States in what is now Oklahoma

A person who settled in a country and prepares for others to settle there.

The name for the northern states military during the civil war

The trucks and busses that carry people through a city
Plantation
A large farm that produces crops to sell
Reconstruction
The period of time after the United States civil war when the south was rebuilt

To separate people according to their race

A person who lives in forests or wild areas far away from towns

A method of decision making in which all come to an agreement
